Third-party notices

Last updated 23 October 2026

Zammoth is built on work by others. This page lists it; the full licence texts are inside the app (Help ▸ Third-Party Notices, and Contents/Resources/Licenses) and in the disk image.

The app

  • Tracktion Engine - Tracktion Corporation, under the Tracktion Personal licence. Made with Tracktion Engine.
  • JUCE - Raw Material Software, under the JUCE Starter licence.
  • SoundTouch 2.0.0 - Olli Parviainen, under the GNU LGPL 2.1, with changes of ours. A separate library in the app; its source and licence are inside the app (Contents/Resources/Licenses/SoundTouch).
  • Rajdhani typeface - Indian Type Foundry, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
  • Compiled in with JUCE: zlib (zlib licence), libpng (PNG Reference Library licence), libjpeg (Independent JPEG Group licence - this software is based in part on the work of the Independent JPEG Group), Ogg Vorbis and FLAC (Xiph.Org, BSD), HarfBuzz (MIT), SheenBidi (Apache 2.0), and the VST 3 SDK (Steinberg Media Technologies, MIT).
  • Compiled in with Tracktion Engine: choc (ISC), crill and NanoRange (Boost Software License 1.0), magic_enum, MPMCQueue, farbot and Airwindows (MIT), libsamplerate (BSD 2-clause), ConcurrentQueue (simplified BSD) and LightweightSemaphore (zlib licence), expected (CC0) and rpmalloc (public domain).

The brain

The brain is our own program, under the GNU GPL version 3, with its source published at github.com/stonecorestudio/zammoth-brain. It is built with Python and about sixty open-source packages - among them Pedalboard (GPLv3), NumPy, SciPy, ONNX Runtime and Anthropic's Python SDK - under MIT, BSD, Apache 2.0, MPL 2.0, PSF and LGPL licences. Each is listed with its version and licence text inside the app, at Contents/Resources/mixagent_daw_brain/_internal/THIRD_PARTY_PYTHON.txt. The Python runtime brings OpenSSL (Apache 2.0) and Zstandard (BSD) with it; both texts are in the same file.

Stem separation

Splitting a track into stems uses demucs-onnx (MIT) running Meta's Hybrid Transformer Demucs model (MIT). The model is not part of the app: it is downloaded from Hugging Face the first time you split a track.
