Stereo Width
Mid/side width from mono to double. The stage view plots the signal as points in front of the listening position, with the speakers at ±30°. The field view shows side against mid per frequency band. Two keys play the mid or the side alone, and the foot plots twelve seconds of correlation.

Controls and display
The simple mono-to-double-wide M/S control: Width 0–2, default 1. On the master it is a device of its own. On a track or bus, Width and the channel strip's width field are the same control: "Add Width" reveals the strip's width as this device box, the knob and the strip field move together, and removing the box puts the strip back at 100 %. One Width per track — a second add just points you at the one you have.
Surface (the stage): the picture card is a top-down listening position — every sample of the master is a point in a fan in front of you: mono is a bright column straight ahead, a wide mix fans out to the two speaker marks at ±30°, anti-phase spills past the dashed red rays. The dim ghost fan is the input, the lit fan is after the width. Along the card's foot, twelve seconds of correlation history (newest at the right, red below zero). The STAGE · FIELD chip in the card's head switches the picture to the field: width per frequency — each band's Side-against-Mid opening as a column mirrored about the centre line (the SPEAKERS line is where Side equals Mid; a column reaching the dashed ANTI-PHASE line burns red), input ghost under output.
The same flag is the agent's view.width_field {field?}. The readout column carries the WIDTH × numeral with the stage opening it implies (1.00 = the speakers' own ±30°), the WIDTH knob in a dial (twelve o'clock = 1.00 untouched, MONO left, WIDE right; double-click to type), the correlation bar + number (−1…+1, red below 0), the LISTEN MID / LISTEN SIDE hold-to-listen keys (the mono core alone / the sides alone), and the MONO SAFE / PHASE lamp (lit above +0.2). In the device dock the same objects sit at mini scale: the stage beside a slim column.
