OTT

Three-band upward and downward compression. Each band is pulled toward a fixed −30 dB target: level above it is reduced and level below it is raised. Depth scales the whole effect, Time scales the attack and release, and each band has separate Up and Down amounts.

The OTT's expanded view: three bands over the spectrum reading +3.5, −2.1 and +4.3 dB of gain, a depth dial and four bipolar gain meters.

Parameters

The upward-and-downward 3-band leveler — quiet detail comes up while peaks come down; the "always-processed" energetic character.

Controls and display

Surface: the in / out field. The plot draws the track's spectrum twice — the input as a faint fill in each band's colour, the output as the bright line — and the gap between them is the levelling: red where a band is being pulled down, warm where it is being lifted. Each band stamps its signed gain in its lane (-5.6 red, +2.3 warm) under a chip that reads its UP / DOWN amounts; the two crossovers are labelled pills (drag in the focus pane, double-click for 150 / 2000 Hz).

The column beside it carries the Depth dial over four bipolar towers — LOW / MID / HIGH / Σ on a ±24 dB scale from a centre zero, lighting warm upward for a lift and red downward for a cut — plus the value cells and the crossover cells. The knobs sit in decks under the field: each band's UP / DOWN under its band, then TIME / IN / OUT; in a narrow pane all ten fold to one strip. In the focus pane the FIELD · TAPES chip swaps the field for three tapes: six seconds of each band with the input as a faint trace, the output bright, the dashed −30 dB target every band is pulled toward, and the gap warm (lifted) / red (cut) — the same switch as view.ott_tapes.

(Per-band gain exists for the agent/API without a knob.)
